About the Event

Sailor Classic, with the help of many sponsors, players, and volunteers has raised over $400,000 dollars for Mona Shores Sailor Athletics over the years. These funds are and will continue to be used for enhancing the student-athletes’ experience at Mona Shores. Also, for the last 20 years, two graduating seniors are awarded scholarships as part of our mission.

In 2000, an account was created at the Community Foundation and funded yearly with proceeds from the tournament. The account has grown to over $162,000 and continues to grow with $5,000 contributed each year. From this foundation account, two $2000 scholarships are awarded each year to male and female student-athletes.

The 2022 tournament held last July generated over $15,000 with 295 golfers participating. See the Programs and Donations the event has supported.
